Daytime Moon Blog Update: Class 2

Howdy, Veronica here with another update on the Daytime Moon Creations blog.

This week, the actors played a lot of games. They played name tag and charade object again. This time they did Charades with a partner instead of the whole class.

In this picture, Jake M. is unfreezing Emily by touching her with his elephant trunk.

They also played group photo. It’s when they pretend to take pictures of each other of scenes that they are acting and then freezing. Once they have frozen, the class looks at the picture and guesses what the picture is.

In this picture, Sara is working with her buddy on doing a scene in group photo. In the photo, the group is playing dodge ball.

They also played group video. In group video, the students have to act out a scene and “film” it and then everybody has to guess what that scene is. They did a silent film, sort of like a silent black-and-white movie.

The actors in this video were acting out a restaurant scene and a waiter spills food on a customer and then, the other customers sitting next to him are cleaning the food off of him.

Group Photo and Group Video work on using their bodies and faces to show what they mean.

Next, all of the actors did a talent show. In Talent Show, they are showing their talents. They wanted to show their talents so that they could maybe use them for the show.

In this video, Christine is playing Talent Show and she is cooking spaghetti with her buddy.

The teachers come up with the games by using real theater games. The games look fun.

Here are some of our actors playing the games.
